   Having little airplay or videoplay, The Origin were college radio darlings that put out 2 simply sweet albums. The latter of the two is "Bend" and it's a from their debut album. The self titled first album was acoustic / folk rock that was well produced and written. "Bend" has a more psychedelic-hippie rock sound well executed/5(6).

   Bend is a whole other story from the band's debut, a better album in every way. The band had shed its influences by this point, as well as the first album's major-label sheen. The songs were significantly stronger both melodically and thematically and the playing much more dynamic. The quartet sounds less reigned in, and, as a result, they were able to let the songs find their own forms and create a 9/

   In september verscheen hun tweede album. Vette bluesrock is nog altijd het basisingrediënt. Maar op ‘Around The Bend’ laat de band ook meer Southern Rock en Americana horen. The second album was released in September Blues-rock is still the basic ingredient. But on "Around The Bend" the band also shows more Southern Rock and Americana.
